PROPERTY MANAGER
|
I was born in Saskatoon Saskatchewan a long time ago. As a child…my 2 brothers and 1 sister were always brought up on the edge of a city. Love the city but live for the country. My folks always took us to church…yes…always United. My family were always close and our mom and dad insisted on cultivating our interests and hobbies. So, consequently…music and sports were high priority in our house. I started playing trumpet when I was 8 and have never stopped. I met many professional musicians and had the opportunity to play with a few as well. I have always been passionate about anything I do. I love working with equipment. I am trained on many large pieces including concrete pumps, mixer trucks, excavators, graders and many more. (Pumping concrete being my favorite). I have worked in almost every area of construction….from digging the hole for the footings of a new home or commercial building, all the way to the top and putting the chimney cap on. I also did some landscaping with a genius landscaper doing everything from seeding a new lawn to putting in a backyard waterfall. Over the years, I started playing guitar and singing. Wrote many songs….some are good …some….haha….not so good. I spent several years as an assistant music minister at Victory Christian Center in Edmonton. Even as a pump operator, I was known as the singing pump guy. I love to get people singing and free from the inhibitions of being heard or seen. I like to stay focused on what I am doing but also love to multi task. Like Sam… I prefer to live life in a positive way. I have 4 daughters. There can always be a light shining somewhere in any situation. I am easily approached and welcome all hellos. |

SAM cassidy
Registration and Rental Coordinator
|
Sam was born in the lower mainland in a small town named Murrayville. She grew up on small farms with many interesting animals. (Ask her…she has the pictures to prove it). Her family, which consists of 2 brothers, 2 sisters and a mom and dad, lived in several communities between Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC. More than not…they raised animals…goats, chickens, cattle and several other critters but they also ran a truck stop restaurant/service station. Sam's family is very close knit and still gets together for special times. Sam is very gifted in many areas. She sings many genres of music…and is very good on stage. She has been compared to Reba and Jennifer Nettles. If a wiring issue comes up…..or a computer program needs attention….she is the wiz kid with sound and electrical. Over the years she has run many karaoke shows and dj'ed hundreds of weddings. There is much to learn about this lady…. But she lives life with a positive attitude and step in everything she does. She loves to solve everyday problems and issues and refuses to quit till the job is done. Sam has 2 daughters and a son. Feel free to say hello anytime….her smile will welcome you and make you feel like a long lost friend. |

Jacob Autio
Chaplain
|
Hey campers! I'm so excited to come to Camp Pringle this year. I've been a United Church camper, counselor and staff member for almost 10 years now and I am very excited to be at a new camp! My favorite things about camp are swimming, theme meals (and the meals themselves) and campfire because three things I love in life are swimming, food and music. This year I'll be your Chaplain. A Chaplain is someone who you can trust and come and talk to about, well, anything! I am here to listen and be there if you feel homesick or if you are just so excited to be at camp you need to tell someone. Can't wait to meet you all! I hope you're ready to have tons of fun! |

Jess Bowman
Registrar
|
Here to fill in the (large) boots of the 2009 and 2010 Registrar, Hanna Lyle, Jess is returning to camp after a lonely, lake-free summer. Driven mad by lack of "Chef Bob" food and Friday morning Polar Bear Swims, Jess was desperate for the Shawnigan lakeside. So, after completing her second year at UVIc studying English, Jess has returned for her second summer on staff, and couldn't be more excited to be part of the first team to work in and use the beautiful new Spencer building. |
