New for 2012:
Tier Pricing

As we move forward with new and improved facilities, as well as facing economic realities including a signicantly increased minimum wage, it has become clear that our traditional pricing does not reflect the actual costs of operating Camp Pringle and providing a "camper week" (the cost of having one camper at Camp Pringle for a one week session).

With our new facilities have come almost doubled insurance costs, increased utility costs, and a jump in cleaning costs. In order to address this imbalance without signicantly increasing our prices, we have elected to implement voluntary "Tier Pricing" which allows you to decide what you are willing or able to pay for the camp experience. This new program will not aect our always supportive bursary program, so we encourage those who nd our fees to be beyond their budget to apply for bursary support.

Here is how the Tier Pricing system works:

TIER 1 (T1)

Tier 1 (T1) represents the highly subsidized rate that we previously charged for camps. The increase in these amounts over the 2011 fees addresses a portion of the new expenses we anticipate based on the changes described above, but still falls well short of covering the actual cost of a "camper week".

TIER 2 (T2)

Tier 2 (T2) pricing reflects the actual cost for a "camper week". If all campers paid at the Tier 2 level, the camp would, at minimum, break even for the summer camp operations.

TIER 3 (T3)

Tier 3 (T3) not only covers the actual costs of a "camper week", but provides some additional funding to help the camp grow. Those who pay at the Tier 3 level will receive a $50 tax receipt since the additional amount will be considered a charitable donation.

Note: All our prices now include the HST, so you pay the price we advertise.

2012 SUMMER PROGRAMS

CIT - COUNSELOR IN TRAINING

Ages 16 & older (16 as of July 2, 2012 - no exceptions)

July 2–6, July 9–13 & choice week to Co-lead

Tier Pricing – T1:$425 T2:$500 T3:$550

The CIT program will prepare you for leadership at camp or in your community while you also enjoy camp life. CIT is a three week program. The rst two weeks will combine leadership training and indoor service (i.e. washing dishes!) with signicant time spent on our Low & High Ropes courses. You will also shadow Cabin Leaders in preparation for co-leading in a cabin. During the third week, CIT participants complete the required, mentored co-leading component of the CIT course. CIT campers will receive a reference letter denoting "participation", "program completion" or "program completion with distinction". Participants who complete the course "with distinction" will be given priority consideration during the sta application process for the following summers,as well as priority consideration for co-leader positions during the current summer.

NOTE: CIT registrants are required to complete an application form and may be asked to come to an in-person interview. In order to encourage leadership training through Camp Pringle, we will give priority to applicants who have completed our Crew Program.
